Space Sciences Subject Classification

Project:

To provide a subject hierarchy within the IsisCB Thesaurus for classifying the history of the space sciences.

Goals:

• Research in the area of space sciences will be used to help organize and classify the subjects related to the history of space sciences in the IsisCB database.
• Relevant authority entries will be added to the IsisCB database and relationships among authorities will also be added (through the AAR table).
• These relationships will be used to improve searching, providing users with related subject terms.

The Team

• Rebecca Marcolina is developing a full classification listing for the space sciences to be used for IsisCB classification and tagging.
